The Android operating system has a major presence in the mobile phone market but has been much slower in its development in the industrial computing market.
In industrial computing a device has a much longer life than a mobile phone, has to be locked in to a specific application and requires a much more complicated software development kit with specialist interfaces for scanners, printers RFID etc. This has all contributed to the slow uptake of Android in industry.
However things are changing and industrial hand held devices are now coming to market.
Kmsoft has a great history of Windows development but we now also have a fully operational Android development environment. This is now available for bespoke software development and our StockAssist package has both Windows and Android options.
