Meet Luke Skinner, KMsoft’s New Software Developer

University of Stirling graduate Luke Skinner has joined the team at KMsoft as our new software developer. Luke holds an impressive First Class BSc (Hons) in Software Development with Cyber Security. Over the coming months, Luke will work alongside KMsoft Founder & CEO, Pete Thomson, to extend the functionality of our GS1 approved solution, StockAssist.

Luke previously worked with KMsoft as a software development intern and has expressed his excitement at continuing his professional development within the company.

“There are two main things I have wanted out of an industry role, the first being that the role is challenging, and secondly that the products I am working on have a real-world impact. I was drawn to this role because it firmly ticks both boxes. KMsoft delivers their solutions to a wide variety of sectors, including healthcare, so I know that what I am working on will be impactful and really benefit people.”

From a young age, Luke has maintained a keen interest in technological innovation. He discovered a passion for software development at age 12 when he developed an efficient resource collection system within the popular videogame, Minecraft. During his time at university, he also created an accurate calculator that allowed students to determine what grades they needed for their final degree classification.

Luke enjoys gaming and programs software in his spare time. He also has an interest in politics in history. While working with KMsoft, Luke hopes to apply the skills he acquired during his time in education to real-world projects that will benefit our customers.

We’re very pleased that Luke has joined the team here at KMsoft, and we look forward to watching him grow in his role.
